Dive into the adventure of a lifetime with Campfire Institute’s brand new offering - "OUT on the Ocean!" Specifically designed for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 12-17, this ocean kayaking excursion promises an unforgettable 2-night, 3-day journey along the stunning rocky coast of Maine. No prior kayaking experience? No problem! We equip all participants with the necessary equipment and skills to confidently maneuver sea kayaks, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.

Starting July 28th, 2024, join us as we set off from the shores of Casco Bay and make our way along the scenic Maine Island Trail. Under the expert guidance of Cricket, Owen Heil (Registered Maine Sea Kayaking Guides), and a knowledgeable team of LGBTQIA+ community members experienced in sea kayaking, we will island-hop and camp along this pristine coastal environment. This trip not only offers an exhilarating adventure but also a unique opportunity to build skills, forge new friendships, and find a affirming supportive community in a safe and nurturing environment.
