Campfire Institute takes a gender expansive view. While we have dedicated trips for LGBTQ+ teens, all programing for *girls* is open to transgender, non-binary, or gender non comforting youth. We have mirrored our approach to that of prominent women's colleges in the U.S.
Campfire Institute is dedicated to empowering youth to be their best selves and live in their truth. We want our programming and annual summer camp Girls* Camp to be a place where campers are able to explore who they are in an open and respectful environment. Be yourself - and be celebrated.
We are also aware that language is dynamic and ever-evolving. Please don’t hesitate to let us know of any questions. Once a participant with Campfire Institute — regardless of gender identity or gender expression — you are always enthusiastically welcome.
