Summer CAMP for Girls and Gender non-conforming youth ages 7 and up
Venture into a week of memory making at our Campfire Institute Summer Camp (formerly known as Girls* Camp), nestled in the serene expanses of Camp Farnsworth, Thetford, VT. Mark your calendars for August 18-24, 2024, as we bring you an unforgettable camp experience. Our camp embodies the essence of summer with a perfect blend of adventure, self-discovery, and pure fun. Join us for sun-soaked days and create memories that will last a lifetime. This program is for ages 7 and up.
Camp opens at 1 PM on the inaugural Sunday. Get ready for a truly transformative escape that spans seven days and six nights. Nestled in a magical setting, our campsite offers a variety of charming cabins, a secluded waterfront, a sparkling pool, and a welcoming dining hall. Prepare for an exhilarating experience filled with activities such as archery, wall climbing, arts and crafts, boating, singing, and so much more!
Our overnight camp is more than just fun—it’s a cherished rite of passage. Navigating the path of independence, making decisions, and experiencing a community that encourages reflection and teamwork, our campers blossom with newfound self-confidence and self-awareness. And let's not forget—it's super fun!
Welcoming all girls and gender non-conforming youth aged 7-14, and featuring a Counselor in Training program for those aged 15-16, our camp promotes inclusivity and growth. We offer scholarships, ensuring our magical week is accessible to all. The cost for this unforgettable summer experience is $900 for the week.
**We are currently undergoing a rebranding process to ensure our program name better reflects, represents, and honors the diverse identities of the campers who join our program. While our new name is still in the making, it is important to note that we have moved beyond our previous moniker, "GIRLS* Camp". Our commitment to maintaining a female-forward safe space that warmly welcomes girls, trans, and gender non-conforming campers remains unwavering. We felt that the term "Girls" or even "Girls*" did not accurately represent the breadth of our camper population. We look forward to unveiling a name that more aptly encapsulates who we are!
